Following our hearts and belief that art should be accessible to all and is essential for developing creativity and empathy for one another, our annual arts education program, ArtSmart (serving 80% low-income children) is offered in Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Benito Counties., and reaches 20,000 kids, teachers and families each year. ArtSmart Overview

Building bridges with our community is an organizational pillar for TBC and to that end we developed the Japan Cultural Fair, Cafezinho (with Bookshop Santa Cruz), Carnival Santa Cruz (with Kuumbwa Jazz Center) and Discover Dance! the first world dance festival and classes in Santa Cruz in the early 80’s.
